A great children's treat!

The Miracle Tabernacle Free Town Church of God in Clarendon was abuzz with excitement last Friday, December 20 at its annual children's treat. Thanks to the many sponsors the children had themselves a whale of a time. There were long lines as some lined up for the two available rides a bounce-a-bout and a trampoleaper. Throughout the day they were fed sandwiches, chicken and rice and peas, cakes and ice and drinks courtesy of Pepsi and Jamaica Beverages through its product Busta. The kids will receive their gifts at a later date as the barrels were sent off late. Listed below are the people who ensured the day was a whopping success. Church outreach health fair and back to school treat a big success

For the first time since its formation the Free Town Church of God of Prophecy Outreach Foundation, located in Clarendon held a Health Fair and Back to School Giveaways resulting in a big turnout. Director and pastor the host church for the foundation Miracle Tabernacle, Zebulah Aiken expressed pleasure at the event and also took time out to thank the overseas sponsors who ensured the children had school supplies at the end of the day. “Tanya Taylor and Melonie Sterling, left Free Town a long time ago, but they have consistently been giving back to our efforts. A lot go away and never look back,” she praised. Children’s treat – 14 years and going strong!

On Friday, December 22 children from Free Town and its environs were feted by the Free Town Church of God of Prophecy Outreach Foundation. Now in its 14 th year, the team went all out to ensure the children had a great time. Faced with many challenges this year including very little sponsorship with some of its ‘regular’ being unable to come on board it was a welcome relief when Custos of Clarendon William ‘Billy’ Shagoury stepped in and ensured that the day ended with each child receiving a toy. “It was truly hard, at one point we would have gotten discouraged as we were faced with so many “unfortunately we cannot sponsor this event” that we even wondered if we would made it,” said Zebulah Aiken pastor and director of the foundation.
