About the Foundation

The Foundation was created as an outlet for the Miracle Tabernacle Free Town Church of God of Prophecy to deliver more tangible service to those in the church and the community at large.
It is the mandate of the Foundation and the Church that we are not here to minister to just spiritual needs but also showing the love of Christ by making a difference in their living conditions.

For the past 17 years the church has been impacting the lives of children and adults through the various outreach including an annual children’s treat in December and Back to School held in August.

Programmes of the Foundation

Food distribution
Whenever the foundation receives contributions of food items, it is distributed to those in dire need – shut-ins and unemployed.

Back to school
Each year an outreach is made to friends in Jamaica and in the Diaspora for back to school supplies to be passed on to struggling parents.

Children’s treat
This annual event is done to ensure that children from the church and community are feted, fed and receive a toy. For a lot of them, it will be the only gift they receive for the season.

Welfare
Needs are identified – be it medicine, food, clothes, assistance with school expenses and the Foundation tries to meet it through collaboration or fundraising activity.

Mentorship
With deacon, pastors and trained counselors a part of the Foundation, support is given to those who need it the most via mentorship and counseling.

Planning ahead
It is our intention to complete an unfinished building in which it will be used to run a computer class for at-risk youth in the community and also a skills training centre.
Our hope is that stakeholders will come on board to make it a reality.
